2023 Sale Day Wrap Up

Our second annual on property ram sale was held at ‘Springfield’ on Monday 25 September. The weather put on a delightful display for our sale and we were pleased to be able to show our first drop of rams that were born and bred entirely on ‘Springfield’ land.

220 rams were offered for sale this year, a few less than the 2022 sale. Consideration into the market and what our buyers were looking for guided us towards this decision. Our rams presented very well and we received wonderful feedback from attendees on the day commenting on the consistency of the sales team.

90% of our lots were cleared with a top price of $5,500 and three others pricing at $5,000. Our average for the sale was $2,350. It was pleasing to see that a majority of the successful buyers were return buyers. We always enjoy seeing our clients return each year to our sale.

Thank you to all of our successful buyers and bidders and to all who attended and showed interest in our genetics. It is these genetics that we are passionate about when it comes to breeding the Bogo ram.

If you’re interested to inspect our grade rams, we have almost 200 October shorn graded rams that are very well grown and available for private sale from January 2024. ASBVs and current test results will be provided on all rams with three price grades of $2,000, $1,500 and $1,000 on offer. Inspections are available via appointment with Mal Peake. Be sure to get in touch with us should you wish to make an appointment.
